Thy Kingdom Come | Launch Week 01

WELCOME

Welcome to Week 1 of the Thy Kingdom Come Reading Plan! This reading plan is designed to partner with Compassion Christian Church’s sermon series of the same name, which you can find information about right here (make this a link).

When teaching His disciples how to pray, Jesus says:
“Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.”
Matthew 6:9-10
Jesus is the kingdom come. He embodied humanity on earth while still being God. He walked and taught his disciples what life in God’s kingdom looks like. He is a perfect example of how each follower should live - expanding God's kingdom on earth as in heaven.

This week, our passages come from Pastor Ken’s message. Take the time to read them. Reflect on how you see God’s kingdom at work in each passage. Then, reflect on how each passage can challenge you to show God’s kingdom, His character in the world around you.
