Faith Promise 2026 | The Great Commission

What makes someone step in when they see a need while others wait for someone else to act? The bystander effect reveals something interesting: often, it’s not that people don’t care. They simply don’t see themselves as part of the solution.

The same can be true of how we approach the mission of Jesus. In Matthew 28, Jesus gives his followers a clear command: go and make disciples of all nations. The mission is global, but the invitation is personal. This isn't a calling meant for someone else. It's an invitation for each of us to take part in what God is doing in the world.

And Jesus doesn't send us out alone. He promises to be with us always, giving us the authority, presence, and confidence to step into the mission. We don't have to feel ready or qualified to say yes. We simply have to be willing to go.
