Compassion Christian’s Drama Ministry presents, “You Can’t Take It With You,” a Pulitzer Prize winning play by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart that has been a favorite for over 80 years.
It tells the story of a humorous encounter between the delightfully eccentric Sycamore family and their daughter Alice, and the conservative family of her fiancé, Tony, whose parents are wealthy and uptight. A dinner party on the wrong night creates a wildly funny clash of family values in which fireworks erupt – literally!
This light-hearted romp about love, family and what’s really important in life is pure fun with antics filling the stage from beginning to end. It reminds us that although life may be difficult at times, enjoy it all while you can because “you can’t take it with you!”
