This Week's Focus: This week, we’ll learn how God’s grace meets us before expectation and invites us to trust Him in the wilderness through the hope of the Resurrection of Jesus.
Scripture
Scripture Helps Us Hear God And Live His Truth.
7So Moses went out to meet his father-in-law. He bowed low and kissed him. They asked about each other’s welfare and then went into Moses’ tent.(vs. 7…)

Seeing Clearly, Responding Freely
Jethro doesn’t just hear the story, he interprets it.
“The Lord is greater than all other gods…” (v.11, NLT)
This is more than emotion. It’s recognition.
He connects what he has heard to who God is.
In a world full of competing voices and beliefs, Jethro sees clearly: no one does what this God does. No one rescues like this. No one provides like this.
And his response flows from that clarity.
Worship.
Sacrifice.
Community at the table.
This matters because in the wilderness, it’s easy to experience God’s provision without fully recognizing His character.
We can receive what He does without letting it reshape what we believe about Him.
Jethro doesn’t make that mistake.
He lets what God has done redefine what he believes is true.

Reflection
Reflection Helps Us Pause, Listen, And Let God Speak To Our Hearts.
- What do my experiences with God reveal about who He is?
- Have I separated God’s actions from His character?
- What truth about God do I need to recognize more clearly today?
Journaling Prompts
This Is A Safe Place To Be Honest With God
- Write about something God has done for you recently.
- What does that reveal about His character?
- How can you respond to that truth today?
