Week 05 | Tuesday

Tuesday | March 10, 2026
This Week's Focus: Sometimes God calls us to lead not because we are strong, but because He is strong through our weakness. In Exodus 4, Moses struggles with fear, insecurity, and feelings of inadequacy. God equips him anyway, showing that brokenness is not a barrier to being used by Him.
This week invites us to explore how God meets our weaknesses with His power and uses them for His purposes.
Scripture
Scripture helps us hear God and live His truth.
But Moses protested again, “What if they won’t believe me or listen to me? What if they say, ‘The Lord never appeared to you’?” 2 Then the Lord asked him, “What is that in your hand?”
“A shepherd’s staff,” Moses replied. 3 “Throw it down on the ground,” the Lord told him. So Moses threw down the staff, and it turned into a snake! Moses jumped back. 4 Then the Lord told him, “Reach out and grab its tail.” So Moses reached out and grabbed it, and it turned back into a shepherd’s staff in his hand. 5 “Perform this sign,” the Lord told him. “Then they will believe that the Lord, the God of their ancestors—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob—really has appeared to you.”
Exodus 4:1-5 NLT

God Equips the Hesitant
Moses is called to rescue the Israelites, but his first response is fear. He questions his credibility and ability. He wonders if God’s plan can survive his weaknesses.
How often do we feel the same? We look at God’s calling, and our first thought is: I’m not enough.
God responds not with condemnation, but with equipping. Verse 2–5 shows God performing signs through Moses: a staff becomes a serpent, a hand leprous then healed, water becomes blood. God turns Moses’ ordinary tools (his staff and his hands) into instruments of His power.
The lesson is clear: God doesn’t call the perfect. He calls those willing to be used. Your weaknesses are not obstacles; they are opportunities for God’s power to shine.

Reflection
Reflection helps us pause, listen, and let God speak to our hearts.
- Where do I feel unqualified or insecure?
- How might God want to work through that weakness?
Journaling Prompts
This Is a Safe Place to Be Honest With God
- Identify one area where you feel incapable. Write honestly about your fears. Then ask God how He might use that exact weakness for His purposes.
Worship
Worship gently draws our hearts closer to God, deepening our daily time of prayer and reflection.
God can use our weaknesses and brokenness for His purposes. This emphasizes that God’s strength is made perfect in our weakness, showing that His grace alone equips and sustains us to accomplish what we could never do on our own.
Memory Verse
Read it once a day. Let it shape how you think and pray this week.
Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.
2 Corinthians 12:9 NLT

Prayer
Through prayer, we talk to God and listen for His guidance.
God, help me see my weaknesses as places where Your power can work. Equip me to follow Your call, even when I feel incapable. Amen.
Come Back Tomorrow
Tomorrow we’ll explore how God’s presence reassures us when we doubt ourselves. Get ready to see weakness as the doorway to His strength.
