This Week's Focus: Trusting God When Life Feels Stuck

Scripture

Scripture helps us hear God and live His truth.
“Do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for there I will make your family into a great nation.”
Genesis 46:3 (NLT)

God Meets Us Where We Are

Moving to Egypt may not have felt like progress to Jacob, it likely felt risky and uncertain. But God met him in that moment with reassurance: “Do not be afraid.” God wasn’t just sending Jacob somewhere new, He was going with him.

The Exodus story begins with a simple truth: God meets people where they are, not where they wish they were. Even Egypt, an unexpected place, became part of God’s plan.

Sometimes we assume God works only when life feels aligned and spiritual. But Scripture shows us that God is present in transitions, uncertainty, and unfamiliar places. He doesn’t wait for us to have it all together before He meets us.

If you feel out of place or unsure right now, know this: God is already there.

Reflection

Reflection helps us pause, listen, and let God speak to our hearts.
  • Where in your life do you feel uncertain or out of place?
  • How does knowing God goes with you change how you face that place?

Journaling Prompts

This Is a Safe Place to Be Honest With God
  • Write about a season where God met you unexpectedly.
  • What fears are you carrying into this season?

Worship

Go deeper if you’d like - no pressure.
A reminder that God is present with us in every place.

Memory Verse

Read it once a day. Let it shape how you think and pray this week.

“God heard their groaning, and He remembered His covenant promise to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”
Exodus 2:24 NLT

Prayer

Through prayer, we talk to God and listen for His guidance.
God, thank You for meeting me right where I am. Help me trust that You go before me and walk with me, even into unfamiliar places. Amen.

Come Back Tomorrow

We’ll explore how pressure and waiting can shape our faith.
