REPENTANCE

FRIDAY, MARCH 21
READING: MATTHEW 7:1-12
FORGIVENESS
The easiest thing to do right now would be to take everything we’ve learned this week, ask God to forgive us for our shortcomings, and then move on, trying to live differently. But that’s not what Christ calls us to. His kindness leads us to true repentance (Romans 2:4), not just a quick reset.
It’s uncomfortable to approach someone and ask for forgiveness—especially when they could go the rest of their lives without knowing we were judging them. But avoiding it doesn’t bring the healing and sanctification God deeply desires for us. And let’s be honest—odds are, they already know.
Maybe you’re reading this thinking, I haven’t judged anyone, so I don’t need to ask for forgiveness. That’s great—keep living in that freedom! But maybe your next step is to have an honest conversation with someone about the planks in your own eye. Let them in. Share where you’re struggling and ask for their help. Because real growth doesn’t happen in isolation—it happens within community.

LITERALLY ASK. OUT LOUD
Go grab a coffee. Take a drive. Meet up for lunch. Just go. Move. Speak.
All week, you’ve been doing the hard work internally—reflecting, wrestling, and processing. But now, it’s time to take it a step further. It’s time for action.
Your challenge? Sit down with someone and talk about what you’ve learned—what's been revealed, what’s been diagnosed, and what’s been prescribed in relation to your own judgments. Be real. Ask for forgiveness where it’s needed. Seek accountability. Because growth doesn’t happen in silence—it happens in conversation.
