SURRENDER THE OUTCOME

THURSDAY, MARCH 13
READING: MATTHEW 6:33
JESUS TAKE THE WHEEL
We’ve all heard phrases like, “just give it to Jesus,” and while they sound nice, they can feel a bit abstract sometimes. What does it really mean to surrender your worries to Him? How do you let go of things you can’t control without just shutting down or pretending everything’s fine?
For many of us, it starts with surrendering the outcome—recognizing that I don’t need to know exactly how things will turn out or control every little detail. It’s about accepting that the outcome I think is best might not actually be the best for me or for others. Trusting that what I see as a failure may actually hold victories I couldn’t even imagine. It’s choosing to put in my best effort and giving my all, but not allowing the end result be what determines my joy.

OUR PRAYER FOR YOU
God, we lift up everyone reading this today. We pray that You would fill their hearts with Your peace, the kind that only You can give. Whatever they're carrying right now, help them feel Your presence and know deep down that You’re in control, even when it feels like things are all over the place.
Lord, help us to seek Your kingdom first—to trust that You’ll provide everything we need and to align our hearts with Your will. Show us how to store our treasures in things that truly matter, things that last, rather than the fleeting stuff this world offers.
We pray we’ll find joy in the moments, not just in the outcomes. Help us to focus on the journey with You, knowing that’s where real peace and fulfillment are found. Give us the strength to let go of control and trust You with what we can’t see or understand. Thank You, Lord, that when we seek You first, we find everything we need. Remind us that You are enough. Amen.
