TRUSTING IN GOD'S PROVISION

TUESDAY, MARCH 11

READING: MATTHEW 6:26 - 30

THE WILDFLOWERS

We live in a world that constantly tells us we have to hustle, achieve, and prove our worth. We measure ourselves against others, always striving—more successful, more attractive, more put-together—like we have something to prove. But Jesus points to the wildflowers and says, Look at them. They don’t strive. They don’t stress. Yet God clothes them in beauty greater than even a king’s riches. If He takes such good care of something as temporary as flowers, how much more will He do for you?
God never asked you to live by someone else’s standards. He never called you to run yourself into the ground chasing security through success or worth through relationships. He wants something better for you. He wants you to rest in the truth that your value isn’t something you have to earn.

JOURNALING QUESTIONS

  1. What are the areas in my life where I feel the pressure to constantly prove myself?
  2. How do I measure my worth? Do I find myself chasing success, approval, or perfection to feel valuable? What does God’s view of my worth look like compared to my own?
  3. Reflect on a time when you felt deeply at rest in your identity, knowing you didn’t have to prove anything. What helped you experience that peace, and how can you hold onto that truth moving forward?
