Welcome to Compassion Christian Church’s Reading Plan! This reading plan is designed to partner with our most recent sermon, which you can find information about right here.
For the last few years, Bob Russell has spent time encouraging our congregation to be more like Jesus as we head into the new year. During this visit, Bob taught from Matthew 4, when Jesus is in the wilderness and Satan tempts Him to sin, Jesus rebukes him with scripture. Therefore, we are going to take a look at the Matthew and Luke passages of this story, and at the scriptures quoted.
Before We Start
Our culture does not use words like transgressions or iniquity often. But it is the common language in the Bible. Therefore, it is encouraged to take a moment to watch each of these videos from the Bible Project that explains the origin of these words and the Biblical context of each of them.
