Faith Promise - What's Next - Week 02 Launch

Welcome to Week 2 of the 2023 Faith Promise - What's Next Reading Plan! This reading plan is designed to partner with Compassion Christian Church’s sermon series of the same name, which you can find information about right here. This is a series focused on how our church responds to the commission that Jesus gave all of his followers to reach people far from Him. This commission is called the Great Commission and is found in Matthew 28:18-20, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” This reading plan will be designed to help us align our hearts with God’s heart for the lost. We will spend the next few weeks reading stories of people whose lives were changed by the love of God.
Before We Start
The Great Commission is a key verse for the Church as it was one of Jesus’ final instructions before his Ascension. As we try to align our hearts with the heart of Jesus, spending more time with the Great Commission is a great way to start and a great thing to return to over the course of this series.
