This Week's Focus:
As followers of Christ, we are to look to Him instead of to other people. Keeping our eyes on Jesus allows us to enjoy Him more now and forever.

Be With Others
So far this week we have focused on ourselves individually. Remaining focused on Jesus so that we are not consumed with the comparison of me vs them.
Yet, as Christians, we are to care deeply for those around us. Not just those who are our friends and colleagues, but also those who are strange to us and far from God. This is where Paul's exhortation to the Romans comes in. Stay focused on Jesus that you may not lose sight of what is important, and be tenderhearted and show mercy.
By focusing on Jesus we remain protected from becoming distracted. As we grow closer to Him and become more like Him, we mature in our ability to have empathy for others without becoming absorbed in comparing what we have or do not have.

Reflection
Reflection Helps Us Pause, Listen, And Let God Speak To Our Hearts.
- Can I be genuinely happy and joyful for someone when they achieve or receive something?
- How is God maturing me to care for people I come into contact with?
