The Best Things In Life | Wednesday

Wednesday | June 10

Focus of the Week:
Tithing is a discipline, but generosity is a mindset. God isn’t just teaching us how to give, He’s transforming how we think. As we shift from a scarcity mindset to an abundance mindset, we begin to trust that God is not only enough, but more than enough. This is where generosity becomes a natural overflow, not an obligation.

Scripture

Scripture Helps Us Hear God And Live His Truth.
10For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you. 11Yes, you will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous. And when we take your gifts to those who need them, they will thank God.

2 Corinthians 9:10–11 (NLT)

God Multiplies What We Release

Everything you have started with God.

He is the provider of the seed.
He is the source of the supply.
He is the one who sustains it all.

And Paul reminds us of something powerful:
God doesn’t just give to meet your needs.
He gives so that generosity can flow through your life.

“He will provide and increase your resources… and produce a great harvest of generosity in you.”

Notice the order.

  • God provides.
  • We release.
  • God multiplies.

But if we hold tightly to what He’s given, we interrupt that flow.

Because what we cling to stays limited.
But what we release becomes multiplied.

This is where trust becomes real.

It’s easy to say God is our provider.
It’s harder to live like it when we’re asked to let go of something.

But generosity is the evidence of trust.
It says:
God, I believe You are my source.
God, I trust You to provide again.
God, I know this isn’t all there is.

And the result?

“You will be enriched in every way so that you can always be generous.”

Not just financially.
Spiritually.
Emotionally.
Relationally.

A generous life is a full life.

So today, don’t just ask, “What do I have?”
Ask, “What has God given me to release?”

Because what you release in faith, God can multiply with purpose.

Reflection

Reflection Helps Us Pause, Listen, And Let God Speak To Our Hearts.
  • What am I currently holding onto tightly that God may be asking me to release?
  • Do I truly see God as my source, or do I rely more on what I can control?
  • How have I seen God provide for me in the past?

Journaling Prompts

This Is A Safe Place To Be Honest With God
  • Write about a time when God provided for you unexpectedly.
  • Ask God what “seed” He has placed in your life to give.
  • Describe what trusting God with your resources looks like right now.

Worship

Worship Gently Draws Our Hearts Closer To God, Deepening Our Daily Time Of Prayer And Reflection.
A reminder that the same God who has provided before will do it again, strengthening your faith to release what you’re holding.

Encourages confidence in God as your source, not your resources, grounding your trust in His consistency.

Weekly Memory Verse

Read It Once A Day. Let It Shape How You Think And Pray This Week.
And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.

2 Corinthians 9:8 (NLT)

Prayer

Through Prayer, We Talk To God And Listen For His Guidance.
God, remind me that everything I have comes from You. Teach me to release what You’ve given and trust You to multiply it for Your purposes. Amen
