Getting Ready For The Week
Focus of the Week:
Tithing is a discipline, but generosity is a mindset. God isn’t just teaching us how to give, He’s transforming how we think. As we shift from a scarcity mindset to an abundance mindset, we begin to trust that God is not only enough, but more than enough. This is where generosity becomes a natural overflow, not an obligation.

Getting Started This Week
This week, we take the next step again.
Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve been reshaping how we see money, learning that true freedom isn’t found in having more, but in trusting God, choosing contentment, and putting Him first.
But now, we move even deeper.
Because this isn’t just about what we do anymore. It’s about how we think.
You can practice tithing and still struggle with fear. You can give consistently and still feel like there’s not enough. Why?
Because generosity isn’t just a behavior. It’s a mindset.
And many of us, without realizing it, live with a scarcity mindset:
“There’s not enough.”
“I need to hold onto what I have.”
“If I give, I might not have what I need later.”
This way of thinking creates tension. It keeps our hands closed and our hearts guarded. It makes giving feel risky instead of freeing. But Scripture introduces a completely different perspective. An abundance mindset.
Not because we suddenly have unlimited resources, but because we trust a limitless God.
God doesn’t ask us to give out of pressure. He invites us to give from trust.
He is the one who provides the seed.
He is the one who meets our needs.
He is the one who allows us to be a blessing to others.
Which means generosity isn’t about losing something. It’s about participating in what God is already doing.
This is the shift:
scarcity → abundance
fear → trust
closed hands → open hands
And as that shift begins to take place, something changes:
We stop asking, “Do I have enough?”
And we start asking, “How can I be a blessing?”
We stop seeing giving as subtraction,
and start seeing it as multiplication.
Because in God’s Kingdom, generosity doesn’t decrease what we have, it multiplies what God can do through us.
This doesn’t mean we ignore wisdom or real financial responsibility. It means we no longer let fear lead.
Instead, we begin to trust that:
God is our source
What we have is enough for today
There will always be more when God is involved
This is where generosity becomes more than a moment.
It becomes a way of life.

Scriptures For The Week
Scripture Helps Us Hear God And Live His truth.
- Tuesday | 2 Corinthians 9:7–8 - A Cheerful Heart
Generosity begins in the heart. God cares about how we give, not just what we give. When giving flows from joy instead of pressure, it reflects trust in Him.
- Wednesday | 2 Corinthians 9:10–11 - God Multiplies What We Release
God is the source of everything we have. When we trust Him with what we’ve been given, He not only provides for us, but uses us to bless others.
- Thursday | Acts 20:35 - More Blessed to Give
Jesus reminds us that true blessing isn’t found in receiving, but in giving. Generosity shifts our focus outward and fills our lives with purpose.
- Friday | Luke 6:38 - Living Open-Handed
When we live generously, we reflect God’s nature. This day focuses on living with open hands, trusting that what we release will be used for something greater.
- Saturday | Proverbs 11:24–25 - The Life That Refreshes Others
A generous life doesn’t run dry. God promises that those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed. Generosity leads to a full and meaningful life.

Reflection
Reflection Helps Us Pause, Listen, And Let God Speak To Our Hearts.

- What fears make it difficult for me to live generously?
- How would my life look different if I truly trusted that God will always provide what I need?
