This Week's Focus: This week, we look at the women who quietly, but powerfully, kept God’s promises alive.

Scripture

Scripture Helps Us Hear God And Live His Truth.
1These are the names of the sons of Israel (that is, Jacob) who moved to Egypt with their father, each with his family:... (vs. 1)

Exodus 1-2 NLT (Overview)

Courageous Faithfulness

This week, we’ve seen a powerful truth unfold: God works through ordinary people who choose faithfulness.

The midwives chose obedience over fear. Moses’ mother chose courage over comfort. Miriam chose attentiveness in a moment that could have easily passed her by. None of them had the full picture. None of them knew how God would bring deliverance. But each of them took a step of faith, and God used it.

That’s how God often works. Not just through big, visible moments, but through small, faithful ones. Through decisions that don’t feel dramatic. Through obedience that no one else may notice.

And yet, those are the very places where formation happens.

Because the journey didn’t end with rescue, it continues in transformation. The same God who was working through them is working in you. In your decisions. In your responses. In your willingness to trust Him in the ordinary moments of your life.

Maybe this week has revealed something in you, fear, hesitation, doubt, or even a sense of feeling overlooked. But here’s what we’re reminded of: wandering doesn’t cancel God’s purpose, and weakness doesn’t disqualify you from being used by Him.

God’s grace is steady. His presence is constant. And His plan is still moving forward, even in ways you can’t yet see.

The journey continues as we choose to trust Him, not just in the big moments, but in the small, everyday steps of faith. Because those steps matter more than we realize.

And even now, God is working through your faithfulness.

Reflection

Reflection Helps Us Pause, Listen, And Let God Speak To Our Hearts.
  • Where have you seen God working through ordinary faithfulness this week?
  • What has this week revealed about your own fears or hesitations in trusting God?
  • Where is God inviting you to take a small but courageous step of faith next?

Journaling Prompts

This Is A Safe Place To Be Honest With God
  • Write about a moment this week that felt small but may have carried deeper significance.
  • Where do you need to release pressure to “have it all figured out”?
  • What is one step of obedience you want to walk into next week?

Weekly Memory Verse

Read It Once A Day. Let It Shape How You Think And Pray This Week.
It was by faith that Moses’ parents hid him for three months when he was born. They saw that God had given them an unusual child, and they were not afraid to disobey the king’s command.

Hebrews 11:23 NLT

Prayer

Through Prayer, We Talk To God And Listen For His Guidance.
God, thank You for working through ordinary moments and ordinary people like me. Help me trust You in the small steps, and give me courage to follow You this week. Amen.

Come Back Next Week

Next week, we will explore Idolatry and the Golden Calf (Exodus 32–33), seeing how easily wandering hearts can drift, and yet how God’s patience and grace remain.

Because Even When We Wander, God Stays Faithful.
