Getting Started This Week | Prone To Wander Week 5

Getting Ready For The Week
This Week's Focus:
This week, we look at the women who quietly, but powerfully, kept God’s promises alive.
In Exodus 1–2, God uses Moses’ mother, sister, and the Israelite midwives to protect His people and advance His plan. Their courage wasn’t loud or dramatic in human terms, but it was decisive. These women took risks, made choices of faith, and trusted God’s providence in circumstances they couldn’t fully control.
God’s work often shows up in ordinary lives doing extraordinary things. He doesn’t just call leaders, prophets, or kings, He works through faithful hearts willing to act.
This week, we will:
No matter how invisible your efforts feel, remember this: God’s plan is unfolding, and He uses people like you to carry it forward.

Getting Started This Week
The midwives feared Pharaoh, yet they obeyed God. Moses’ mother hid her son, trusting God would deliver him. His sister watched and intervened at the right moment.
Ordinary courage changes history. The seemingly small acts of faith in the midst of fear and oppression set the stage for God’s rescue.
Many of us feel small or inadequate in our spiritual lives, like we couldn’t possibly impact God’s plan. But Scripture reminds us: He chooses ordinary people who trust Him to advance His purposes.
This week, we’ll see that courage, obedience, and faithfulness in the everyday are exactly how God accomplishes His extraordinary work. And the journey continues: God’s faithfulness in the shadows prepares the way for His deliverance in the light.

Reflection Helps Us Pause, Listen, And Let God Speak To Our Hearts.
- Where in my life do I feel unseen or insignificant right now?
- What small step of obedience might God be inviting me into?
- When have I seen God work through something that felt ordinary at the time?
- What fears tend to hold me back from acting in faith?
- How can I trust that God is working, even when I don’t see immediate results?
