This Week's Focus: God has made a way for us to come near, not through our effort, but through His provision, fulfilled in the Resurrection of Jesus.

Scripture Helps Us Hear God And Live His Truth.
1"Call for your brother, Aaron, and his sons, Nadab, Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar. Set them apart from the rest of the people of Israel so they may minister to me and be my priests. …(vs. 1)

Called And Set Apart
God begins by calling Aaron and his sons to serve as priests. This is not self-appointed. It is initiated by God. The role of the priest is not something earned, it is something given.
This reveals something important about how God works. He doesn’t wait for people to qualify themselves. He calls, sets apart, and equips.
The garments described are “sacred” and “set apart,” designed to reflect the weight of what the priest represents. This is not casual. The priest stands between God and the people.
And yet, the priest himself is still human.
This tension is intentional. It reminds us that access to God has always required God’s initiative. Even those closest to His presence depend on His provision.
For us, this reframes how we see our own relationship with God. We don’t approach Him because we’ve earned it, we come because He has called us. The journey continues as we learn to live from that identity, not strive for it.
