Prone To Wander | Saturday

Saturday | April 25

This Week's Focus: This week, we reflect on a powerful shift in the story of Exodus. God doesn’t just rescue His people, He chooses to dwell with them.

Exodus 25 NLT (overview)

God With You, Still Working

This week, we’ve been walking through Exodus 25 and seeing something foundational: God chooses to dwell with His people.

Not after they arrive. Not once they are perfect. But while they are still being formed. While they are still learning, still wandering, still figuring things out.

The tabernacle shows us a pattern for how God works with His people: He meets us through mercy, sustains us through provision, and guides us with light. And He does all of this in the wilderness, the place of uncertainty, growth, and dependence.

That changes how we see our own journey. Because the story didn’t end at deliverance, it continues in transformation. And the wilderness is not a sign of God’s absence; it is often where He is most present and active.

God has not stepped away from you. He is not waiting for you to “get it right”. He is with you, shaping, forming, and drawing you closer every day. The same God who moved in the tabernacle moves in your life now, offering mercy, provision, and light in your wilderness.

This week, let that sink in: God is with you, still working. You don’t have to chase Him down. You don’t have to wait until you have it all together. He is present. He is active. He is faithful.

Reflection

Reflection Helps Us Pause, Listen, And Let God Speak To Our Hearts.
  • What has this week taught me about God’s desire to dwell with His people?
  • Where in my life do I need to trust that God is still working, even if I can’t see the full picture?
  • How does knowing God is present in the “wilderness” change the way I approach daily life and challenges?

Journaling Prompts

This Is A Safe Place To Be Honest With God
  • Write about an area where you feel “in the wilderness” right now.
  • How has God already been present or working there?
  • What is one step you can take this week to remain aware of His presence?

“Same God” – Elevation Worship
Points to God’s unchanging faithfulness, reassuring us that the God who was with His people in the wilderness is the same God who is with us today, active and at work in our lives.

Weekly Memory Verse

Read It Once A Day. Let It Shape How You Think And Pray This Week.
So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.

John 1:14 (NLT)

Prayer

Through Prayer, We Talk To God And Listen For His Guidance.
God, thank You for being with me in every part of my journey. Help me trust that You are still working, even when I can’t see the full path. Shape me, guide me, and remind me that Your presence is constant. Amen.

Looking Ahead To Next Week

As you move into next week, pause and remind yourself: God is with me. He is active. He is still working in and through me.

This week showed us that God desires to dwell with His people.

Next week, we’ll explore how a holy God makes a way for imperfect people to stay close, through the priesthood and atonement.

Because God’s presence is not just near, He makes a way for us to remain in it.
