This Week's Focus: This week, we reflect on a powerful shift in the story of Exodus. God doesn’t just rescue His people, He chooses to dwell with them.

Bread Before God

In Exodus 25:23–30, God gives instructions for a table that would sit inside the tabernacle, with the Bread of the Presence set before Him at all times. This wasn’t about feeding God, it was about forming His people. The bread served as a constant reminder that God is near, that He sees, and that He provides.

The detail that it remained there continually matters. God isn’t just showing that He can provide; He’s teaching His people to live with Him in an ongoing, daily relationship. This would have connected deeply to their experience in the wilderness, where they depended on manna each day, just enough for that moment. They couldn’t store it up; they had to trust God again the next day.

Now that same rhythm is being built into their worship. Not just moments of faith, but a lifestyle of dependence. And that speaks directly to us. We often look for quick answers or big breakthroughs, but more often, God is forming something deeper through consistency, teaching us to come back to Him, to trust Him again, and to receive what He provides each day.

Transformation doesn’t usually happen all at once. It happens over time as we stay close, learning to trust that what God gives us today is enough, and that He will be faithful again tomorrow.

Reflection

Reflection Helps Us Pause, Listen, And Let God Speak To Our Hearts.
  • What stands out to me about the bread being before God continually?
  • Where do I struggle to trust God on a daily basis?
  • Am I looking for quick answers instead of consistent connection?
  • What would it look like to trust that God has given me what I need for today?
