Easter Week | Wednesday

This Week's Focus: This week, we’ll discover how God meets us in our impossible moments and makes a way forward through the hope of the Resurrection of Jesus.

Scripture

Scripture helps us hear God and live His truth.
13 But Moses told the people, “Don’t be afraid. Just stand still and watch the Lord rescue you today. The Egyptians you see today will never be seen again. 14 The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.”

Exodus 14:13-14 NLT

Be Still

You Don't Have To Carry This

As fear spread through the Israelites, Moses spoke words that likely felt confusing in the moment: “Don’t be afraid. Just stand still.” With an army approaching, standing still didn’t seem logical, but God wasn’t asking them to figure it out, He was asking them to trust Him.

We often live like everything depends on us. We carry the weight, try to control outcomes, and push ourselves to fix what feels broken. But in this moment, God made it clear: this wasn’t their battle to fight. He was going to move on their behalf.

Stillness doesn’t mean doing nothing, it means releasing control. It’s choosing to trust that God is working even when we don’t see immediate results. It’s believing that His timing is better than our urgency and His ways are greater than our plans.

Maybe today, God is inviting you to let go. To stop striving. To loosen your grip on the situation you’ve been trying to manage. Because the truth is, you don’t have to carry what God has already promised to handle.

Reflection

Reflection helps us pause, listen, and let God speak to our hearts.
  • What am I holding onto that God may be asking me to release?
  • Where do I feel pressure to fix or control something on my own?
  • Do I truly believe God is working, even when I don’t see it?

Journaling Prompts

This Is a Safe Place to Be Honest With God
  • Write a prayer releasing one specific situation to God, be honest about how hard it is to let go.
  • Describe what “being still” could look like for you today in a practical way.
  • What would change in your mindset if you fully trusted that God is fighting for you?

Worship

Worship gently draws our hearts closer to God, deepening our daily time of prayer and reflection.

A reminder that we can surrender because the fight is in God’s hands.A powerful declaration that God is working even when we can’t see it.

Memory Verse

Read it once a day. Let it shape how you think and pray this week.

14 The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.”

Exodus 14:14 NLT

Prayer

Through prayer, we talk to God and listen for His guidance.
God, help me release what I’ve been trying to control. Teach me to trust that You are working, even when I can’t see it. Amen

Come Back Tomorrow

Hold onto this truth today. God is already at work. Tomorrow, we’ll see how He doesn’t just calm the situation…He makes a way through it.
