Week 07 | Tuesday

Tuesday | March 24, 2026
This Week's Focus: Freedom always comes at a cost. In Exodus 11–12, God creates a way of rescue for His people, not by avoiding judgment, but by providing protection through the blood of a lamb. The Passover is not just an ancient story; it points forward to Jesus, the ultimate Lamb, who makes a way for us when escape seems impossible.
This week invites us to see how God saves, how He calls His people to trust Him fully, and how the story of the Exodus continues to shape our lives today through Christ.

A Night That Changed Everything
In Exodus 11, God tells Moses that the final plague is coming, the night that will change everything for Israel and Egypt. This isn’t just about judgment; it’s about a God who is serious about freedom. He has been guiding, warning, and preparing His people, and now the moment of deliverance is at hand. Sometimes, change comes suddenly, and sometimes it comes after a long season of waiting but God’s timing is always perfect.
For the Israelites, this night marked a turning point. Their obedience and trust would be met with God’s protection and provision. In our lives, we may not face plagues, but we all have seasons where fear, uncertainty, or old patterns feel like they’re holding us captive. God sees those areas too, and He is able to bring breakthrough in ways we might not expect.
The night that changed everything also reminds us that God’s instructions matter. The Israelites followed His guidance carefully, and His power moved to save them. Likewise, God invites us to follow Him faithfully, even when the path isn’t fully clear. Courage and obedience often lead to freedom, and even the smallest steps of trust can set the stage for life-changing moments.
As we reflect on this passage, we can find hope that God is still at work today. He is able to bring deliverance, healing, and transformation in our lives, sometimes all at once, sometimes gradually, but always with perfect timing.
Whatever challenges or “chains” you face, remember: the God who changed everything for Israel is the same God who can change your situation and bring you into freedom and new beginnings.

Reflection
Reflection helps us pause, listen, and let God speak to our hearts.
- What areas of your life feel “stuck” or waiting for change, and how does knowing God is at work there encourage you?
- How have you seen God’s timing or guidance bring breakthrough in the past, even if it didn’t happen exactly when you expected?
- What is one step of obedience or trust you feel God asking you to take right now, even if it feels uncertain?
Journaling Prompts
This Is a Safe Place to Be Honest With God
- Reflect on a season when God brought sudden change in your life. How did that moment shape your faith and trust in Him?
- Write about areas where you need God’s protection, guidance, or deliverance today. What does surrendering those to Him look like?
- Consider a challenge you’re currently facing. How might small steps of trust or obedience invite God’s breakthrough into the situation?
Worship
Worship gently draws our hearts closer to God, deepening our daily time of prayer and reflection.
Invites surrender and trust in God’s salvation, connecting to the trust the Israelites had to have that God would deliver them.
This powerful hymn‑like worship song proclaims the hope and freedom we have in Jesus, reminding us that true deliverance comes through Him.

Memory Verse
Read it once a day. Let it shape how you think and pray this week.
"But the blood on your doorposts will serve as a sign, marking the houses where you are staying. When I see the blood, I will pass over you. This plague of death will not touch you when I strike the land of Egypt."
Exodus 12:13 (NLT)

Prayer
Through prayer, we talk to God and listen for His guidance.
God, thank You for seeing every part of my life and for Your power to bring change and new beginnings. Help me trust Your timing, follow Your lead, and walk in faith each day. Fill me with courage, knowing You are always at work. Amen.
Come Back Tomorrow
Tomorrow we’ll see how God provides protection and asks His people to trust His way even when it feels unfamiliar.
