Getting Started This Week | Week 06

March 16 - March 21, 2026

The Plagues & Pharaoh’s Hard Heart

This Week's Focus: Sometimes life feels stuck not because of circumstances, but because of unseen forces holding us back, fear, sin, unhealthy patterns, or systems that feel impossible to overcome. In Exodus 7–10, God confronts Pharaoh’s hard heart with plagues, demonstrating that He is not passive in the face of oppression.
This week, we explore how God can confront what enslaves us today and make a way forward, even when change feels impossible.

Getting Started This Week

Have you ever felt trapped in a situation that seems unchangeable, a toxic relationship, financial stress, emotional patterns, or fear? The Israelites experienced the same kind of “impossible” entrapment under Pharaoh. God didn’t ignore their cries; He acted decisively, confronting the root problem, even when it was dangerous and uncomfortable.

This week invites you to reflect on what might be holding you captive and how God’s power and presence offer a path toward freedom.

Scriptures For The Week

Memory Verse

Read it once a day. Let it shape how you think and pray this week. Let it remind you that God can bring good even from difficult seasons.

As you watch, notice how God’s actions confront both injustice and hard hearts.

Reflect

  • What does God’s willingness to confront oppression teach me about His character?
  • How might He want to confront what is holding me back today?
  • Where in my life do I need freedom, and how is God inviting me into it?
