Week 05 | Thursday

Thursday | March 12, 2026
This Week's Focus: Sometimes God calls us to lead not because we are strong, but because He is strong through our weakness. In Exodus 4, Moses struggles with fear, insecurity, and feelings of inadequacy. God equips him anyway, showing that brokenness is not a barrier to being used by Him.
This week invites us to explore how God meets our weaknesses with His power and uses them for His purposes.
Scripture
Scripture helps us hear God and live His truth.
10 But Moses pleaded with the Lord, “O Lord, I’m not very good with words. I never have been, and I’m not now, even though you have spoken to me. I get tongue-tied, and my words get tangled.” 11 Then the Lord asked Moses, “Who makes a person’s mouth? Who decides whether people speak or do not speak, hear or do not hear, see or do not see? Is it not I, the Lord? 12 Now go! I will be with you as you speak, and I will instruct you in what to say.”
Exodus 4:10-12 NLT
Exodus 4:10-12 NLT
From Weakness to Boldness
Moses sees himself through his weaknesses, slow of speech, unconvincing, incapable and these fears almost stop him from accepting God’s call. But God reframes the story: “Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute, seeing or blind? I will be with your mouth and teach you what to say.” (v.11–12)
God’s answer is not a pep talk. It is a promise: He will work through what we consider inadequate. Our limits become the canvas for His power.
This transforms the way we see failure. We stop trying to “perform” for God and start relying on His grace. Boldness is not born from skill, it is born from dependence on God.

Reflection
Reflection helps us pause, listen, and let God speak to our hearts.
- Where have I let my limitations stop me from obeying God?
- How might God want to use me despite my weaknesses?
Journaling Prompts
This Is a Safe Place to Be Honest With God
- What would it look like this week to rely on God’s strength instead of trying to rely on my own abilities?
- What weakness or insecurity in my life do I most want to hide from God? Why?
Worship
Worship gently draws our hearts closer to God, deepening our daily time of prayer and reflection.
God’s unfailing love and guidance empower us even when we feel inadequate or unprepared, echoing how He equips and speaks through those who may doubt their own abilities.Expresses a willing trust and obedience to God’s leading, reflecting how He calls and equips us to step forward despite our fears or feelings of inadequacy.
Memory Verse
Read it once a day. Let it shape how you think and pray this week.
Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.
2 Corinthians 12:9 NLT

Prayer
Through prayer, we talk to God and listen for His guidance.
God, take my weaknesses and make them a testimony of Your power. Give me courage to step forward in obedience. Amen.
Come Back Tomorrow
Tomorrow we’ll explore how God’s equipping includes community. He provides support and encouragement for the journey.
