This Week's Focus: Knowing who God is and how He meets us personally

Scripture

Scripture helps us hear God and live His truth.
Then the Lord told him, “I have certainly seen the oppression of my people in Egypt. I have heard their cries of distress because of their harsh slave drivers. Yes, I am aware of their suffering.
Exodus 3:7 NLT

God Sees and Cares

God begins His conversation with Moses by acknowledging the suffering of His people. He had seen it. He had heard their cries. And He cared deeply.

This reminds us that God is not unaware of our struggles. He sees the pressures we face and hears our prayers, even when answers feel slow.

If you’re carrying something heavy today, take comfort in knowing that God sees you and cares about what you’re walking through.

Reflection

Reflection helps us pause, listen, and let God speak to our hearts.
  • What burden feels most present in your life right now?
  • How does knowing God sees and cares change your perspective?

Journaling Prompts

This Is a Safe Place to Be Honest With God
  • Write a prayer describing what you need God to see today.
  • What does it mean to trust that God cares for you?

Worship

Worship gently draws our hearts closer to God, deepening our daily time of prayer and reflection.
Reminds us that when we lift our eyes to Him, we personally encounter the same compassionate God who meets us in our pain and draws near to us.

Memory Verse

Read it once a day. Let it shape how you think and pray this week.

God replied to Moses, “I am who i am.[a] Say this to the people of Israel: I am has sent me to you.”
Exodus 3:14 NLT

Prayer

Through prayer, we talk to God and listen for His guidance.
God, thank You for seeing me and caring about my life. Help me trust You with what feels heavy today. Amen.

Come Back Tomorrow

We’ll look at how God calls ordinary people to be part of His work.
