This Week's Focus: Knowing who God is and how He meets us personally

Scripture

Scripture helps us hear God and live His truth.
“There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a blazing fire from the middle of a bush. Moses stared in amazement. Though the bush was engulfed in flames, it didn’t burn up.”
Exodus 3:2 NLT

God Meets Us Where We Are

Moses wasn’t looking for a life-changing moment. He was going about an ordinary day when God met him in the wilderness. The place felt ordinary, but the encounter was anything but.

God often meets us in everyday moments, not just in church or during big decisions, but in the middle of normal life. The burning bush reminds us that God doesn’t wait for the perfect setting to speak.

If life feels routine or quiet right now, don’t overlook it. God may be closer than you realize.

Reflection

Reflection helps us pause, listen, and let God speak to our hearts.
  • Where does your life feel ordinary right now?
  • How might God be meeting you in that space?

Journaling Prompts

This Is a Safe Place to Be Honest With God
  • Write about a moment when God surprised you.
  • Where do you sense God inviting you to pay attention?

Worship

Worship gently draws our hearts closer to God, deepening our daily time of prayer and reflection.
Highlights that God reveals who He is in personal and powerful ways, meeting people in their ordinary moments and inviting them into a deeper understanding of His character.

Memory Verse

Read it once a day. Let it shape how you think and pray this week.

God replied to Moses, “I am who i am.[a] Say this to the people of Israel: I am has sent me to you.”
Exodus 3:14 NLT

Prayer

Through prayer, we talk to God and listen for His guidance.
God, help me notice Your presence in my everyday life. Open my eyes to see where You are at work around me. Amen.

Come Back Tomorrow

We’ll reflect on how God sees and cares about our pain.
