Scripture invites us to love the Lord not only with our actions, but with our entire soul—our inner life of thoughts, emotions, and desires. From Deuteronomy 6:5 to Jesus’ words in Matthew 22:37, God calls us into a wholehearted relationship where love flows from connection, not routine.

This kind of love is made possible by God’s renewing work within us (Deuteronomy 30:6). As our hearts are refreshed, our love for God naturally shapes how we live, serve, and walk with Him (Deuteronomy 10:12; Joshua 22:5). When our soul is centered on God, everything else finds its proper place.

As a church family this week, we invite you to slow down and intentionally create space for God to restore your inner life.

  • Take a few minutes each day to sit quietly, breathe, and pray. As you listen, reflect on the key verse for the week and the greatest commandment—loving God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength.
