Reading For Tuesday | Psalm 96:11-13
The second stanza of Joy to the World reminds us that the Messiah will restore all things. This verse shifts our focus from His coming to His unending reign. Rivers, fields, hills, and plains—all creation—join the celebration. The joy is cosmic! Here, joy is not merely an emotion; it is the fruit of living under the good and dependable rule of Christ.
Verse Two
Joy to the Earth, the Savior reigns
Let men their songs employ
While fields and floods, rocks, hills and plains
Repeat the sounding joy
Verse Two
Joy to the Earth, the Savior reigns
Let men their songs employ
While fields and floods, rocks, hills and plains
Repeat the sounding joy
