Reading For Monday | Psalm 98:4-9
The first stanza of “JOY to the World” announces the central truth of the gospel: the LORD has come. He entered history—in flesh and in humility. The entire earth is invited to receive HIM as the Messiah, and every heart is encouraged to “prepare Him room.”
Verse One
Joy to the world; the Lord is come
Let earth receive her King
Let every heart prepare him room
And heav’n and nature sing

Journaling Questions
Grab your journal, find a quiet spot, and reflect on a few of these prompts:
- Is there room for JESUS in my life? If not, why?
- Is my life too crowded with worry, hurry, or self-reliance?
- What is my JOY capacity these days?
- If it is true that JOY is “not a passing sensation” but is distinct from a mere feeling of happiness or pleasure, do I have IT?
- Ask GOD to give you some ideas about steps you might take to experience and live with more JOY. Make some notes in your journal.
Prayer Prompt
Offer a prayer like this:
“Lord Jesus, come again into my heart, bring joy to my soul, and clear away whatever keeps me from receiving YOU fully.”
