Reading For Monday | Ephesians 2
The foundation of any house determines its strength, and the same is true for your spiritual life. Ephesians 2 reminds us that we were dead in our sins but made alive in Christ, and that we are God’s workmanship, created for good works. Baptism is a way that we embrace and celebrate being rooted in this new identity.
When our identity rests in Christ, every other practice—worship, prayer, service, outreach—has a secure place to grow. Without this foundation, our spiritual house is vulnerable to storms of doubt, distraction, and comparison.

Reflection Questions
- How secure is your identity in Christ?
- Where might you be building your worth on something other than Him?
- How does knowing you are God’s workmanship shape the way you live and share your faith?
Prayer Prompt
Thank God for your identity in Him. Ask Him to reveal any cracks in your foundation that need His attention, and commit to resting fully in who He says you are.
