Reading For Wednesday | 1 Corinthians 11:17-34

Living in a fallen world, we constantly face destruction and distractions that can leave us feeling depleted and disconnected from God. Recognizing this, God has provided communion as a practice through which we receive from Him and foster a deeper connection. Communion is a gift that represents the covenant—the new agreement between God and humanity—sealed by Jesus’ life poured out. It signifies forgiveness, cleansing, and the washing away of sin.

1 Corinthians 11:25: “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.”

To experience this gift, we must make ourselves available—coming with open hands, ready to encounter God. He promises to meet us exactly where we are.

Reflection & Challenging

Reflect on the profound impact of Jesus' blood being shed for you.
  • How does it inform your understanding of God’s grace and mercy?
  • Does it inspire a renewed commitment to live a life that honors such a costly gift?

Reflect on what is preventing you today from fully receiving what God has for you.
  • Do you have unanswered questions, do you waiver in your trust in Him?
