Worship is sacrificial; it requires bringing God our best, even when it costs us something. In the Old Testament, sacrifices were an essential part of worship—offering something valuable to God. Today, we don’t offer animals or grain as sacrifices; instead, we make choices to let go of the things that pull our attention away from Him.
The sacrifice we make is choosing to worship even when it’s challenging—choosing to praise when life is hard or doesn’t make sense. It’s deciding to offer God the best of our hearts, our time, and our abilities, even when it comes at a cost.
