FRIDAY | THE JOY OF SEEING LIVES CHANGED - FAITH PROMISE WEEK 1

Wednesday | The Joy of Seeing Lives Changed - Faith Promise
Week 1
Friday, October 31, 2025
Reading For Friday | Luke 15 | Luke 5:17-25
Jesus’ heart for the lost is unmistakable in Luke 15.
The religious leaders of the day were more concerned about their reputations and personal piety than about being used by God to bring others into a life-changing relationship with Him. And Jesus was unimpressed. In Luke 15:7, Jesus speaks of the joy in heaven over one sinner who repents.
The story of the four friends that we’ve reflected on throughout this week concludes with their friend being healed and forgiven—a testament to the joy of seeing lives changed through faith. Who knows what would have happened to him had his friends not been willing to do whatever it took to get him to Jesus?
Reflect on the joy that comes from seeing others come to Christ—healed, forgiven, free, and changed forever in this life and for eternity. It’s incredible to consider that God not only can, but wants to use us as part of His redemptive work. He wants to use you. He has given you unique gifts and experiences for exactly this purpose.
Consider how your efforts—both in reaching your “one” and engaging in local and global missions—can lead to this joy, both for you and for those you help bring to Christ. Pray for the opportunity to witness lives transformed by the gospel, and for the perseverance to continue in your mission efforts.

JOURNALING & REFLECTION
- How have you experienced the joy of seeing others come to Christ?
- What motivates you to continue in your mission efforts?
- Write a prayer of thanksgiving for the opportunity to participate in God’s mission and for the joy of seeing lives changed.
As you conclude this week, remember that your name is part of the story of reaching the lost. Just as the four friends are remembered for their faith, so too will your efforts be remembered in the kingdom of God.
PRAYER PROMPT
"Jesus, thank You for saving me and for the joy of knowing You. I’m amazed that You choose to use me in Your mission to reach others. Give me compassion for the lost and courage to share Your love. Help me to see the people around me the way You do—worth pursuing, worth loving. Fill me with joy as I watch You change lives, including my own. Amen.
