Creation is a gift! As followers of Jesus, we can appreciate GOD’s great big, beautiful world as we intentionally connect with GOD through beauty, silence, and wonder! The Bible is filled with invitations to look, learn, and study the natural world as we consider what GOD has created. Creation is a living testimony of GOD’s glory, care and presence in the world. Ideally, this points us back to worship and trust as we balance our appreciation for the created world with prayer, service and community.

As you reflect on the reading today, consider a couple of these questions:

• How can I let creation inspire me and challenge me to move toward other disciplines?
• Am I grounding my experience of GOD in creation with the truth of Scripture?
• How can my appreciation for nature move me toward deeper relationships and service for others?
• Am I ready to stretch myself by practicing things that do not feel so “natural” to me?
• What other practices might I engage that will lead me toward balance and maturity? Where might GOD be inviting me to meet him in less comfortable practices?
