Balancing doing for GOD and being with GOD is a challenge for most of us. Relational and serving types experience their love for GOD deepening through loving others well. In our giving and connecting with others, we want to mature in our faith by pairing these approaches with prayer, reflection and study of the Scriptures.

As you reflect on today’s readings, consider a couple of these questions for reflection and prayer:

• Am I serving others to please GOD, or to gain approval and feel needed?
• Am I balancing outward service with inward renewal through prayer, worship, and Scripture integration?
• How might I give Scripture space to shape my heart, not just my actions?
• In what ways am I becoming more patient, humble and dependent upon the Spirit rather than my own energy and actions?
• How is GOD using my relationships and acts of service to make me more Christ-like?
