Lighthouse (food, clothes and guidance)

The Lighthouse is a ministry of Compassion Christian Church that provides food, clothing and spiritual guidance to those in need.

If you need help:

You can find food, clothes and qualified people to talk to at the Lighthouse building (directly behind the Adult Ministry Center, across the street from the Henderson main building) during these hours:

Monday: 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Wednesday: 3 – 5 p.m.
Friday: 12:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.

If you would like to help:

The Lighthouse Ministry is supported by CCC volunteers and supplies are gathered the second weekend of each month during Bumper Bag Weekend. To help during Bumper Bag Weekend, leave bags filled with non-perishable items and coupons at the back bumper of your car. While you worship, volunteers will pick up the bags for distribution to families in need through Lighthouse.

Non-perishable food items and gently worn clothes are also accepted at the drop center on the north side of the Lighthouse building (directly behind the Adult Ministry Center, across the street from the main Henderson building) during weekday business hours and around service times on the weekends.

The needs are canned chicken and tuna, canned fruits and vegetables, especially green beans and corn, peanut butter, and canned soup.  Save and donate your Sunday coupon inserts as well so we can help even more people in need.

Contact lighthouse@compassionchristian.com or 912-629-4742 if you are interested in volunteering.
